Johanna "Annie" (Klokgieters) Spierings

SPIERINGS- Peacefully at her residence on Monday April 8th 2013. Johanna "Annie" Spierings (nee Klokgieters) of Caressant Care Nursing Home Woodstock and formerly of Sweaburg in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Johannes "Johny" Spierings (1993). Dear friend of John (Corry) VanEgmond of Burgesssville. Special Oma of Cecilia (Mark), Vincent (Gail), Dorothy (Lucas) and Ben (Becky) and G.G. Oma of eight great grandchildren. Also survived by three nephews in the Netherlands. Annie was a member of St. Mary's CWL, the St. Mary's Choir for over 32 years as well as a member of the Curries UCW. Annie and her family helped many Jewish families in the Netherlands during WW II. Friends may call at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Thursday April 11th 2013 from 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish 904 Dundas St. Woodstock on Friday April 12th 2013 at 11:00 am with Father Richard Dales as celebrant.
