Johan Gerhard "John" Grevers

GREVERS, John -- I lift up my eyes to the hills - Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121 1:2 At his residence on Monday September 2, 2013. John (Johan Gerhard) Grevers of People Care, Tavistock and formerly of Woodstock in his 85th year went home to be with his Lord and Saviour . Beloved husband of Dinie (Hanna Berendina - nee Ruessink) Grevers for over 61years. Dear father of Mary Griffith and her husband Al of Woodstock, Henry Grevers (Nancy Calic) of Woodstock, Grace Schipper and her husband Harry of Straffordville, Bernice Bentum and her husband Tim of Woodstock, Ingrid Los and her husband Bill of Listowel and father-in-law to Mary Lou Tanner - Grevers of Woodstock. Loved Opa of Jennie, Jay (Necole), Ryan (Corinna), Brandon, Lindsay (James), Erica (Paul), Laura, Darryl (Krystal), Anita, Timothy (Carolyn), Heidi (Matthew), Denise, Emily, Robin (Joel), Rosanna, Derek (Chandra), Megan, Janelle and loving Great Opa to nineteen Great Grandchildren. Dear brother to Gerhard and Dine Grevers of Woodstock, Willem and Jo Grevers of the Netherlands, brother-in-law to Betty and Bert Schelhaas of Beachville and is survived by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in the Netherlands. Predeceased by his brothers Jan, Benny, Bertus and Gerrit in the Netherlands. John and his wife have been long time members and supporters of the Covenant Christian Reformed Church. Friends are invited to join the family for a time of visitation at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 410 Lansdowne Ave., Woodstock, on Wednesday September 4, 2013 from 6-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the sanctuary on Thursday September 5th, at 11:00 am with Rev. Ralph Koops officiating. Interment to follow in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
