Jim Southby

SOUTHBY - After a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday January 15, 2009. Jim Southby of Woodstock in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Gabriele Southby (nee Marinoff). Loved father of Jennifer Southby and her partner Mark Maltby of Sudbury, Angela Winslow and her husband Jon of Peterborough and Nathan Southby at home. Dear brother of Susan Moore and her husband Brian of London. Also survived by his many friends, relatives and extended family. Jim was a teacher for over 30 years and taught in C.F.B. Petawawa, Fort Nelson, B.C., Quesnel, B.C. and Brantford, Ontario. He also volunteered with VON Oxford (Special Needs). Jim loved to visit "The Island" in Petawawa, enjoyed fishing, most sports including soccer, tennis and golf and he also enjoyed a good game of cards. Cremation has taken place.
