Hanzel (nee Knight), Jill Verna - Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at VON Sakura house, Woodstock, on Friday July 20th, 2018 in her 81st year. Loving wife of Clifford Hanzel for 60 years. Proud owner of Buster. Cherished mother of Ronnie (Brad) Hallock, Natalie (Tom) Gillespie, Norma (Doug) Chambers, Paula Hanzel and Phil (Julie) Hanzel. Dear nan of 21 and great nan of 8. Survived by her 3 Brothers-in-law and 1 sister in law. Predeceased by her parents, Kathleen and James, Her sister, 3 sisters-in-law, 3 Brothers-in-law and her parents-in-law. Jill will always be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Jill was a longstanding member of the UCW, an outgoing member of College ave., United Church and even held a spot on the Hillview Cemetery Board. Friends and Relatives are invited to visit with the family on Thursday July 26th from 2-3 at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004). A Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 3pm. If desired, memorial contributions to Sakura House would be appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home.
