Jenny Marie (Bennett) Thomas

THOMAS- Peacefully at her home on Sunday December 2, 2001. Jenny M. Thomas (nee Bennett) of Willowgrove Cres., Woodstock in her 86 th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert "Bob" Thomas (1992). Much loved mother of Bob Thomas and his wife Phyllis of Toronto and Janet Bragg of Woodstock. Loving grandma of Charlene Carruthers and her husband David, Paul Thomas, Tara Bragg and her friend Rob Axon, Amanda Bragg and Ryan Bragg. Dear sister of George Bennett, Edwin Bennett and his wife Leota, Fred Bennett and his wife Alice all of Woodstock, Isabel Ranson of Winnipeg and sister in law of Gil Henderson of St. George. Jenny was predeceased by her sisters Anne and Molly and by brother Bill. Jenny had been very involved with the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #55, Woodstock, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 55, had been a longtime member of the Church of the Good Shepherd and had volunteered in her community for many years. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004, Tuesday 7-9 pm, and Wednesday 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd 1023 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, Thursday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Eleanor Caruana officiating. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery. Contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. A legion service under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #55, Woodstock will be held at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. Jenny will be remembered for her generous spirit and kind nature.
