MacGillivray - At her home with her family at her side on Friday October 21, 2005. Jeanette MacGillivray (nee MacDonald) of Brompton Ave., Woodstock in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late C. Robert "Bob" MacGillivray (2002). Dear mother of Robert and his wife Cathy of Collingwood, Lawrence and his wife Sandra of Burgessville, Hughena Brenneman and her husband Don of Embro, Allan and his wife Line of Courtland and Katherine Hewitt of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of eighteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Dear sister of Sandy MacDonald (Camilla), of Cape Breton, Sally Mellun (Ed) of Woodstock, Lawrence MacDonald (Florence), Marion (Jerry), Johnny (Linda) all of Cape Breton, Jessica (Marty) of Kansas, Roberta and Elda (Abe) all of Cape Breton. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Thelma, Annie, Eileen and Peggy and by her brothers Stevie and Jackie. As a young woman growing up in Loisbourg, Cape Breton Island, Jeanette was an active member of the Presbyterian Church as well as a soloist in the church choir for many years. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004 on Monday October 24, 2005 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Rev. John vanVliet officiating. Interment in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Contributions to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
