Jean Isabelle (Odell) Smart

SMART - At the Woodstock General Hospital, with her devoted husband Alfred W. Smart of 68 years at her side, on Friday August 27, 2010. Jean Isabelle (nee Odell) Smart of Woodstock at the age of 88. Dear mother of David and his wife Jennifer of Ottawa and Nancy Nutt and her husband Doug of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Paul Nutt and his wife Kathleen Colledge, Rachael Fleming and her husband Derrick and loved by her great grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Ruth Odell of RR#6, Woodstock and Agnes Smart of Woodstock and is survived by several nieces and nephews. Jean was a longtime member of Dundas St. United Church, Woodstock, Dundas St. U.C.W., where she volunteered many years with the Christmas Bazaar, was well known for her award winning quilts and was a past vendor with her husband at the Farmer's Market in Woodstock for many years. Predeceased by her sisters Mary Robertson and Shirley Matheson and by her brother George Odell. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday August 30, 2010 from 6 - 8 pm and Tuesday from 12:30 - 1:30pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:30pm with Rev. Bonnie Pilkey officiating. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
