Kamminga, Jantje, ‘Jane' (nee Vries). Born in Friesland, The Netherlands, January 3, 1931, died March 10, 2014, at Woodstock Hospital with her eldest son at her side. Beloved wife of the late Albert Kamminga (2006). Cherished mother of Irene Kamminga, Freda Kamminga, Barbara Kamminga, Elizabeth McCallum, Flora de Jonge (Peter), Peter (Ileen) Kamminga, Michael (Kimberley) Kamminga, and son-in-law John Angehrn. Predeceased by her daughter Truusje Angehrn (1993) and son-in-law Robert McCallum (2011). Loving "Beppe" to twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. Dear sister to Elisabeth Visser (the late Tom) and Joe Vries (Jennie), along with sisters Baukje and Engeltje and brother Ritz in The Netherlands. Also predeceased by two brothers in The Netherlands, Minze and Sjeerd Vries. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews in Canada and The Netherlands. Albert and Jane immigrated from The Netherlands to Oxford County in 1951. They were long-time members of Emmanuel Reformed Church. Jantje was a stay-at-home mom until later years when she worked as a part-time custodian at Princess Anne Public School in Ingersoll. Jantje was also a long-time member of the Woodstock Philatelic Society. Friends and family will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. and again from 7p.m. - 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, 170 Clarke Street North, Woodstock, on Saturday, March 15, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
