Jane Arlene (Hamilton) Macqueen

June 28, 1948 — June 21, 2024

MacQueen, Jane Arlene

We gather today to honor and celebrate the life of Jane Arlene MacQueen, a cherished member of our community who passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on June 28, 1948, in St. Thomas, Ontario, Jane's vibrant spirit and infectious smile left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Jane dedicated many years of service to the Woodstock Hospital, where her compassion and commitment to others were evident. She was not only a beloved employee but also an active participant in her community, contributing her time and energy to the Navy Club and the Eastern Star. Her involvement in these organizations reflected her unwavering dedication to service and her desire to make a positive impact on those around her.

Beyond her professional and community commitments, Jane's greatest passion was her family. She was a loving wife to her late husband, Edward, who preceded her in death in 2019. Her role as a mother to her son, Bob (Kim), shone brightly through her unwavering support and love. Jane's joy multiplied as a grandmother to Abigail, Alexis, Hailey, and Kaiden. Jane's twin brother, Wayne (Ruth), along with her nieces Pam, Jen, and Andrea and her extended family and many friends, will deeply miss her spirited conversations and heartfelt laughter.

Jane's zest for life extended to her love for sports. She was an avid golfer, curler, shuffleboard player, and bowler. Her competitive spirit and camaraderie on the field and lanes brought great joy not only to her but to everyone who joined her in these activities.

As we bid farewell to Jane Arlene MacQueen, we do so with gratitude for the time we shared with her and the memories we will carry forward. Please join the family as they celebrate Jane’s life on Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 1pm-5pm at the Navy Club, 959 James Street, Woodstock.
