Jan Vink

VINK, Jan - At the Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday February 17, 2016 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of "Ada" Alida (nee Bol) Vink for over 62 years. Dear father of Donald (Alice) Vink, John (Peggy) Vink and Joanne (Rick) Mount. Loved grandfather of Jonathan (Jennifer), Elizabeth, Katherine, Sarah, Kelsey and great grandfather of Ella. Dear brother to Anton (Thea) Vink and is survived by several nieces and nephews. Jan was an accomplished carpenter, cabinet maker and specialized in flooring and installations. He loved camping and canoeing with Boy Scouts Canada and with family and friends. Jan also loved wood carving with the Tri-County Wood Carvers of Otterville which he had won several awards. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday February 19, 2016 from 7-9 pm and again on Saturday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. The complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Rev. John Henderson officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment later in the Presbyterian Cemetery.
