WEST, James Albert - Passed away peacefully at Woodingford Lodge on Sunday, June 7th, 2020, in his 92nd year. A life-long resident of Woodstock, Jim lived in the same home for 83 years. Predeceased by his loving parents Sherman and Margaret (nee Maloney) West, siblings Sherman (Leola), Ed, Bill (Pat), and Bernie. Survived by his sister-in-law Carol (late Bernie). Cherished uncle to Pat, Joe, Julie, Jeffery, Joanne, Cathy (Deceased), David (Deceased) Greg, Cairn, and Pam. Jim was a long-time employee of Harvey Woods. He was a long-standing member of the O.C.N.V.A., a recreational pilot, and a die-hard Detroit Tigers fan. Every year Jim would return to Ireland, the land of his heritage. A private Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Woodstock. In absence of a visitation or wake, the family asks, in memory of Jim, to tilt a pint and say “Slainte”! If desired, memorial contributions to the Diocese of London, or the Catholic Women’s League and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home (519-539-0004).
