James Sampson Oldford

OLDFORD - At Woodstock General Hospital on Thursday August 29, 2002. James S. Oldford of Beale St., Woodstock in his 62nd year. beloved husband of Lois J. Oldford (nee Hannah). Dear brother of Herb and his wife Wanda and Violet Myers and her husband Bill all of Woodstock and Pauline Seymour and her husband Phil of Bayfield. Dear brother-in-law of Lee Mroz of Woodstock. Loved by his many nieces and nephews Fred (Audrey) Myers, Ken (Brenda) Myers, John (Brenda) Myers, Sam (Tony) Myers, Debra (Louie) Stefan, Tammy (David) Lawrence, Vincent Oldford, Lisa Seymour, Dianna (Leo) Pereira, and Tommy Oldford and by his great nieces and nephews; Rick (Laura) Stefan, Stacy Myers, Adam Myers, Tracy(Travis) Knack, Angela (Leo) Marte, and Sabrina Myers and by his great-great nieces and nephews; Adam Lawrence, Siarra Stefan and Connor Stefan and step nephew Jamie (Leile) Deadman. Predeceased by his parents; Sampson and Margaret Oldford and parents-in-law; Burnett and Violet Hannah and brother Thomas Oldford. Jim worked with TRW ( formerly of Kelsey Hayes) for 37 years. He was a member of the Craigowan Golf and Country Club and a longtime member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association, Woodstock. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel Monday at 11:00 am with Rev. Kathryn Strachan officiating. Interment later in York Cemetery. Contributions to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
