James Arnold "Jim" Fox

Fox James Arnold Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, London on Monday November 14, 2011. James A. "Jim" Fox of Thorndale in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Beverley (Cove) and proud father of J. Wesley Fox (Darlene) of Thorndale, Gregory Fox (Terri) of Dorchester, Michael (Shari) Fox of Thorndale and Angelynne Telfer (Shawn) of Westchester, Ohio. Loving grandfather of Eric, Ian, Arnold, Noah, Fletcher and Jocelyn. Survived by his sister Beryl McCullough (Bob) of London, and Don Brodie (Isabel) of Camlachie. Also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wyman and Grace, Eldred and Marjorie, Edwin and Beatrice, John L. and Patricia, David and Barbara, Darrell and Lori, Marilyn and Garry and several nieces and nephews. Special uncle of Bobbi Smuck. Predeceased by his parents Arnold C. Fox (1966) and Ida Pearl (Steele) (1992). Jim was born and raised in West Nissouri Township with a passion for his family, farming and his community, with involvement over the years in the West Nissouri Volunteer Fire Department, the Optimist Club, the 4-H, the Agricultural Society and the Masonic Lodge. His unique sense of humour and penchant for tall tales will be truly missed. Friends may call at the Harland B. Betzner Funeral Home 177 Dundas Street, Thamesford on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at The Thorndale Community Centre 255 Upper Queen St. Thorndale (one block south of King) on Saturday November 19, 20011 at 11 AM. Interment Robin's Hill Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff of both Victoria and Parkwood Hospitals for the compassionate care. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be given to the Thorndale Optimist Club, the Alzheimer's Society or the London Regional Cancer Centre.
