Peacefully at Stratford General Hospital , on Saturday September 8, 2012. James Alfred "Jim" Brook of RR # 4 St. Marys and formerly of Harrow in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Valera (Mellow) for 66 years. Dear father of Larry (Barb), Ellen ( Mike dec.) and Ron. Dear grandfather of Connie, James (Stacy), Jennifer, Adam and Walter and 2 great grandsons Dakoda and Landen. Also survived by 2 brothers Ken (Eleanor) and Robert (Nancy) , 5 sisters Viola, Olive (Bill), Dorothy, Winnie (Robert dec.), Eileen (Bruce) and one sister-in-law Margaret. Predeceased by brothers Harry (Betty) Alvin (Alice), Arnold (Norma) and Russell (Vi) and sisters Ethel (Leo) and Joyce (Leo). Friends may call at the Harland B. Betzner Funeral Home 177 Dundas Street Thamesford on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral service will be held St. George's Anglican Church, Thorndale on Thursday September 13, 2012 at 11 AM. Interment Zion 7th Line Cemetery, Thames Centre. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be given to St. Paul's Cathedral Food Bank, St. George's Anglican Church Memorial Fund or the charity of one's choice.
