Jacob "Jack" Clarence Balkema

Jack passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the age of 64.    Jack is survived by his step-sons, Trevor, Jamie and Andrew Blackmore.  He is fondly remembered by his sister, Hetty Balkema (Darrel Ford), niece Cheryl-Ann Kier and her family.  Jack is predeceased by his wife, Diane Blackmore and his parents, Frank and Annie Balkema.    Jack enjoyed woodworking and tinkering - he could often be found fixing or building something around his property.  He loved the outdoors, fishing and walking his beloved dog, and he felt a kinship with wolves, displaying their pictures all over his home.

In keeping with Jack's quiet nature, services will be private.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada.
