FEENSTRA, Jacob - Gone to be with the Lord on Monday May 21, 2012 at the Woodstock Hospital. Jacob "Jake" Feenstra of Woodstock in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Jansjes "Jean" (nee DeWit) Feenstra for over 61 years. Dear father of Peter C. Feenstra, Neil Feenstra both of Woodstock, Patricia Rood (John) of Innerkip and Marie Schneider (James) of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Gerrie Rood (Charlene), Linda Mijnders (Will), Robert Rood and Lisa Rood, Darrel Schneider, Nico Schneider, Anna Schneider and great-grandfather of Karly, Breanna, Valerie, Levi, Dayna and Avery. Dear brother to Ate Feenstra, Akke Hellinga (Gabe), Bouwe Feenstra (Anna) all of Holland and brother-in-law to Mary Feenstra of London, Janie VanTol, Jan Post all of Holland, Gerrit (Mien) DeWit of Woodstock and Wim Vandermey of Fonthill. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Peterja Feenstra, brother Hans Feenstra and Henry Feenstra and by several bothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Jake was a co-founder of John Knox Christian School and a longtime member of Emmanuel Reformed Church. Friends may call at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Wednesday May 23, 2012 from 3-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 170 Clarke St., Woodstock on Thursday at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Hillview Cemetery.
