de Boer - At his residence on Saturday April 21, 2007. Jacob "Jake" de Boer of People Care Centre, Tavistock and formerly of RR# 1, Innerkip in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Alie de Boer (nee Das) for over 64 years. Dear father of Jackie Kotsch and her husband Simon of Simcoe, Ralph de Boer and his wife Jean and Jerry de Boer all of RR# 1, Innerkip. Loved grandfather of Michael Bauer (Vicky), Adrien, Andrea, Aaron de Boer and great grandfather of Richard and Johnathan Bauer. Dear brother of Gerrit de Boer of Holland. Also survived by his many nieces and nephews in Holland. Predeceased by his sister Sietske Bobeldyk and by his brother Hendrik. Jake served on past executive boards with the Dutch Canadian Club, the Dutch Canadian Theatre Group and the Innerkip Lawn Bowling Club. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday April 24, 2007 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Joan Hacock officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment later in the Innerkip Cemetery.
