Jack Vlug

VLUG- After a courageous battle with cancer and surrounded by his loving family at the Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday November 7th, 2009. Jacob "Jack" Vlug of Woodstock in his 64th year. Beloved husband of Angela Vlug (nee Wood). Cherished father of Kathy (Keith) Kennedy, Tracy (Paul) Lewis, and John Vlug, and step children Trevor Barnett (Tiffany Butler), Rob Barnett (Melissa Marr), and Ian Barnett (Patti King). Jack is also survived by his 11 loving grandchildren, and sister Maria (John) Gunther, as well as several nieces nephews and many friends. Dear brother-in-law of Terry (Allison) Wood, Valerie (Peter) Burrows and Bob (Maureen) Wood. Predeceased by his mother Cornelia Payne, and parents in-law Alice and Alwyne Wood. Jack worked for 21 years at Kelsey Hayes (Eureka Foundry) in Woodstock before owning and operating Ingersoll Pool and Spa. As per Jack's wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., 519-539-0004 on Monday November 16th, after 10:00 am, where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel Monday at 11:00 am.
