August 30, 1918 — April 21, 2008

HYATT - At Woodstock General Hospital on Monday, April 21, 2008, John "Jack" Frederick Hyatt of Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock, in his 90th year. Beloved uncle of Marion Marshall and her late husband David of St. Thomas, Don Caswell of London, Nancy Capern and her late husband Dave of Ingersoll and great uncle of Mary Marshall of Woodstock, Margaret Phillips and her husband Ray of St. Thomas, Sherri Nairn and her husband Doug of Thamesford, and Darryl Capern and his wife Lenore of Ingersoll. Also survived by many other nieces and nephews as well as many great and great great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Lilly Hyatt and by one brother and six sisters. During the Second World War, Jack was stationed in Woodstock and served in the Rank of Corporal. Jack retired after 21 years with Allen Bradley in Galt. Jack was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Waterloo. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004), on Friday, April 25, 2008 after 10:00 am where the memorial service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 am with Rev. Don Moore officiating. Interment later in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Contributions to the Woodstock General Hospital or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A Royal Canadian Legion service under the auspices of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55, Woodstock will take place prior to the service in the chapel.
