J. Allan Marshall

MARSHALL- Peacefully at Woodstock Hospital on Thursday December 29th 2011, J. Allan Marshall of Woodstock in his 87th year. Beloved husband for over 60 years to Jane Marshall (nee Arkell). Loved father of Maureen Ralph and her husband Bob of RR# 2 Tavistock. Cherished grandfather of Robert Allan Ralph of Thunder Bay, Andrew Marshall Ralph and Scott A. Arkell Ralph both of RR#2 Tavistock. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Walter Marshall (1990) and a sister Viola Valentino (2011). Allan was employed with the O.P.P. for over 35 years and longstanding member of the O.P.P.V.A. He was a life member of the Knox Presbyterian Church in Walkerton and Woodstock, was a member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association, Woodstock and District Trotting Association, owner/breeder of Solar Kennels Doberman Pinchers, life member of of the Canadian Kennel Club and was the president of the Oxford County Kennel Club. A private family service was held at the Brock and Visser Funeral Chapel 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) where Rev. Mark McLennan of Knox Presbyterian Church officiated. Interment will take place place at the Culross and Teeswater Cemetery in the spring. If desired, contributions to the Woodstock Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
