Ivan Stirton Palmer

PALMER - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Thursday December 11, 2008. Ivan S. Palmer of Woodstock and formerly of Oakville in his 79th year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret L. (Nee Zinn) Palmer (2005). Dear father of Andrea Palmer and her fiancé Jeff Wells of London, Kent Palmer and his wife Audrey of Oakville and Nancy Carey of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Meaghan Kelly, Zackary Carey, Cole Palmer and Elliot Palmer. Dear brother of Marion Hurley of Woodstock and brother-in-law of Dorothy and Herbert Coles of Cambridge. Ivan is also survived by his dear friend and dance partner Marion Norman of Woodstock. Predeceased by his siblings Alec Palmer, Jack Palmer and Marg Breakwell. A visitation will be held at St. Paul's United Church, 454 Rebecca St., Oakville on Sunday December 14, 2008 from 2 - 4 pm where a celebration of Ivan's life will be held in the church on Monday at 1:00pm. Cremation has taken place. Interment later in the Windfall Cemetery.
