Irene I. (Turner) Tanner

TANNER, Irene I. – Gone to be with her Lord and Savior, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday March 3, 2023, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Allan Digby Tanner (2001). Loving mother of Alan Richard “Rick” Tanner, Marilyn (Larry) Halko, and Mary Lou Grevers (Dave Wale). Cherished grandmother of Sarah (Mike) Brown, Bill (Laura) Todd, Angela (Scott Tegler) Wilson, Crystal (Randy) Tanner, Rebecca Halko, Amy Halko, “Wally” Walter (Lisa) Halko, Jennie (Patrick) Grevers, Jay (Necole) Grevers, Ryan (Corinna) Grevers, Brandon (Holly) Grevers, Lindsay (James) Borg, and  Erin (Adam) Stuart, and great grandmother to Connor, Billy, Greg, Mariah, Ethan, Bailey, Brady, Porter, River, Mia, Cypress, Holland, Malory, Brennan, Peyton, Morgan, Emma, Samaire, Daman, Declan, Mikayla, Colin, Shea, Isabella, Jack, Aiden, Nate and Sloan. Irene will be loving remembered as “Foster Mom” to Barb, Sharon, Linda, and Godmother to Denise, Kelly, and Trish. Dear sister-in-law of Audrey Turner. Predeceased by her parents Len and Phoebe Turner, and her brother Arthur Turner. Irene will be missed by the many people she knew. Her gentle manner and loving character will live on in her family and is the legacy she leaves behind. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 735 Frontenac St., Woodstock on Monday March 20, 2023, from 12:30 – 2:00 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the sanctuary at 2:00pm. Interment in the Hillview Cemetery.
