SWAIN - Peacefully at the Woodstock General Hospital on Monday, December 17, 2007. Irene P. Swain (Snell-Barker) of Chieftain St., Woodstock in her 78th year. Beloved wife of Hugh Swain for over 25 years. Dear mother of David Barker and his wife Nancy of Waterloo. Loved grandmother of Monica of St. Catharines, Roxanne of London and Niklas of Waterloo. Also survived by her great granddaughter Isabella. Irene will always be remembered by her cousin Anne Letheren of Oshawa and by her goddaughter Cheryl Stranges of London. Predeceased by her cousin Doe. A memorial service to celebrate Irene's life will he held at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 11:00 am with Rev. David Snihur officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Cremation has taken place. Contributions to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated.
