EMBURY - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Tuesday February 10, 2004. Irene M. Embury (nee Young) of Victoria Rest Home, Woodstock in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" H. Embury (1991). Dear mother of Wayne Jarvis Foster, Marilyn Tracey Lallinger and her husband Tony all of Woodstock and Rose of Stratford and grandmother of several grandchildren. Dear friend of Dennis Sheppard of Woodstock and sister of Gloria Luddington of Norwich and Bessie Latchfurness of Sterling, Alberta. Loved sister-in-law of Marian Parsons and her husband Jim of Beachville, Bob Embury and his wife Mary Margaret of Woodstock, Hugh Embury of Thunder Bay and Janice Embury of Woodstock. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Irene was a long time member of the Salvation Army and the Salvation Army Home League. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004, Friday 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Community Church, Woodstock on Saturday at 11:00am with Captains Phillip and Wavey Birt officiating. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
