Irene Doris (Saunders) Bickerton

BICKERTON, Irene D. - Peacefully after celebrating 85 years. Irene Doris Bickerton (nee Saunders) of Woodstock passed away Tuesday January 21,2014 at Sakura House with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of the late James Forrest Bickerton (1991). Cherished mother of Betty (Don) Roberts of Woodstock, Gail (Art) Fraser of Guelph and Kris Bickerton of Woodstock. Dear Grandma "Gram" of Jim, John (Shannon), April (Glen), Amy, Mandy (Ryan), Robert, Kaila (Keith), Brandon and loving GiGi of Eric, Sara, Jillian, Dale, Ethan, Connor, Kora, Riley, Kade, Jackson and Kloe. Also survived by her siblings; Kay, Art (Marilyn), June (George), Bill (Donna) and Lynn (Ian). Auntie Rene will always be remembered by her extended family David and Nona Kong of Nona Lani Cottages Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Jean Isabella Saunders. Rene was a past member of IODE, Woodstock Hospital Auxiliary and was an avid Bridge player with the Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for a time of celebration at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday January 24, 2014 from 4 - 7pm. Cremation has taken place. Interment later in the Hillview Cemetery. The family gratefully declines floral arrangements in favour of memorial contributions to Sakura House, Woodstock.
