Ilene Alberta Wakonig (Pike)

Passed away peacefully and suddenly on Saturday, August 19th, 2023 in her 85th year.

She is predeceased by her husband Egon (2016), her father Victor (1984), mother Irene (1973), brother Bruce Pike (2007) and sister Laura Smith (2011)

She leaves behind her sons Barry (Valerie) and Brian. Forever remembered by her grandsons Matthew (Laura) and Michael. Ilene's love of nature will be shared with her great grandson, Ashton James.

Her family, childhood stories will be remembered by nephews, Ross and Steven, nieces Lynn, Joan and Cathy.

The family will be forever grateful for her friendship with Ashleigh Springer and

appreciate the love and care Ilene received while residing at Queen’s Village.

In memory of Ilene, contributions to one of her favourite charities, Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation, will be comforting to the family.

A memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall, 459 Second St, London, ON N5V 2B1 on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023. Followed by Interment and shared memories at Robins Hill Cemetery, 16592 Robins Hill Rd, Thorndale, ON N0M 2P0
