STRIKWERDA, Ida Ann - Went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday June 29, 2012. Ida Ann Strikwerda (nee Verkuyl) of Woodstock in her 61st year. Beloved wife of Hans A. Strikwerda for over 38 years. Dear mother of Winona Siebenga and her husband Nathan of Hamilton, Annette Rossel and her husband Tony of Kitchener, Rachel Cook and her husband Justin of Hamilton, Stephen Strikwerda and his wife Caroline of Oakville, Arend Strikwerda of Surrey, BC and Philip Strikwerda of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Leah, Chelsea, Matthew, Brooklyn, Olivia, Caleb, Ada, Naomi and Levi. Cherished daughter of Wilhelmina Verkuyl of Woodstock and the late Martin Verkuyl (2011). Dear sister of Tony and Brenda Verkuyl, Mary Jane and Ben Hofstede, John and Gloria Verkuyl, Connie and Wayne Collins and sister-in-law of Andy and Hennie Strikwerda, Jean and Nick VanderKwaak, Evelyn (late Sieds) VanderMeer, Richard and Sandy Strikwerda, Elizabeth (late Tom) Sikma, Philip and Bonnie Strikwerda and Fred and Edel Strikwerda. Ida was a longtime member of Calvary Pentecostal Church, Woodstock where she also served as church librarian. She also was employed with the London District Catholic School Board serving as an Educational Assistant in Woodstock and surrounding area. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for a time of visitation at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 65 Lansdowne Ave., Woodstock, on Thursday July 5, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held at the church on Friday at 2:00 pm. A private family interment was held in the Baptist Cemetery, Woodstock.
