START, Howard David - At Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday, March 5, 2011, Howard David Start of Woodstock in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Barbara Start (nee Dale). Dear father of Gale Pollock (Ron) of Beachville, Diane Kleer (Walter) of Tillsonburg, Paul Start (Dee Dee) of Woodstock, and Kelly Cole (Jeff) of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Ashley Geerlinks (Geoff Yates), Chelsey Geerlinks, Miranda Start, Lauren Cole, Mackenzie Cole, and Vanessa Start. Dear brother of Earl Start (Jean), Barbara Logan (Mac), Catherine Furlong (Bob), and Donna Brown (Wayne). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Dale Edward "Ted" Start (1995), sister Audrey Sulston (Al), brother George Start (Kay), parents Douglas and Beulah Start, and parents-in-law Arthur and Bernice Dale. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Monday, March 7, 2011 from 7 - 9 pm and Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7 - 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. David's United Church, 190 Springbank Ave. N., Woodstock, on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jane Van Patter officiating.
