McCall Howard Howard Edward McCall of R.R. #3 Lakeside passed away peacefully on Sunday November 17, 2013 with family by his side, in his home where he was born 92 years ago. Well known throughout the agricultural community for all his years, Howard was instantly recognized by his pin-striped overalls and white hard hat. Beloved husband of Doris (nee Rowland) for 68 years. Howard and Doris were blessed with six children. Shirley McCall Hanlon of Tavistock, George (Cheryl) of R.R. Annan, Barbara (David) Cussons and Margaret (Jim) Marchant, both of Ingersoll and Harold (Cindy) of R.R. Thamesford. He was predeceased by his son Howard Jr. (Carol) in January of 2013. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Howard was the last surviving member of his immediate family, being predeceased by his parents Donald and Nell McCall, his parents in-law George and Frances Rowland, his sister Alma (Harry) Phelps, his twin brother Bruce (Doris), brother Don (Donna), and a grandson in 1968. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-law Donna and friends in the community. Family and friends are invited to the Harland Betzner Funeral Home 177 Dundas Street Thamesford on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm where Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday November 21, 2013 at 11am with Reverend Douglas Peck officiating. Cremation later with interment of Ashes in Kintore Cemetery.
