Howard Jake Karn

KARN - At Woodstock General Hospital on Tuesday December 2, 2003. Howard Jake Karn of R.R. # 1, Woodstock in his 69th year. Son of the late Elmer and Irene Karn. Beloved husband of Helen B. Karn (nee McComb). Dear father of Mary Lynn Gable and her friend Jon and Philip Karn and his wife Joanne all of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Sarah and Aaron Karn and Rachel de Jager. Dear brother of Mary Jull and her husband Robert of Norwich, Lawrence Karn and his wife Emily of RR# 1, Woodstock, Kenneth Karn and his wife Betty of Sweaburg and brother-in-law of Melba Karn of RR# 1 Beachville. Also survived by several nieces and nephew. Predeceased by his brother Robert. Howard was a Past Master of the King Solomon's Masonic Lodge # 43, A.F. & A.M., Woodstock, a former member of the Woodstock Agricultural Society and was a well known Holstein breeder. During his retirement Howard enjoyed gardening and the trees in the yard he planted for every special family event. Friends may call at the R.D.Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave Woodstock, 539-0004, Thursday 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 am with Rev.
