BRUCE, Howard W. - At the Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday May 1st, 2012. Howard William Bruce of Caressant Care Retirement Home in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Edith L. Bruce (nee Fraser). Much loved father of Don (Bonnie) of Kitchener and Shirley (late Dan "Digger") Murray of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Jennifer, Dan, Ray and Carla and great grandfather of eight. Also survived by his step-children Shirley (Don) Hewlett of Ballsover, Mary (Bill) Wilson of Beachville, Margaret (Eugene) Ross of Embro, and Tom Towle of Alberta and their families. Dear brother of Clifford (Fran) Bruce of Woodstock. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Jim Bruce and Elsie Lemp. Howard was a longtime member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association. Friends may call at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Friday May 4th 2012 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Christ Church Anglican, Huntingford on Saturday May 5th 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Victor Krueger-Kischak officiating. Interment at Anglican Cemetery, Woodstock.
