Henry Roode
March 26, 1926 — January 4, 2005
ROODE - Went home to be with his Lord at the Woodstock General Hospital on Tuesday January 4, 2005. Hendrik "Henry" Roode of Woodstock in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Diane Roode (nee Lamberts). Dear father of Clara Thomson and her husband John, Gerald "Red" Roode and his wife Marlene, and Marian Geerlinks and her husband Harold all of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Lisa (Dave), David (Natalie), Tania, Scott, Tara, Natasha, Nathan and great grandfather of Sabrina, Johnny and Jordan. Henry is also survived by his brother, three sisters and a sister-in-law all of Holland. Predeceased by his son Harry John Roode (1987). Henry had been a longtime member of the Covenant Christian Reformed Church, Woodstock. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004, Thursday January 6, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 410 Lansdowne Ave., Woodstock on Friday January 7, 2005 at 11:00 am with Henry's nephews, Pastors Ralph and Harry Koops officiating.
