Henriette Christina (Bakker) Brouwer

BROUWER - Peacefully and near to God, at Stedman's Community Hospice in Brantford on Sunday, February 15, 2009. Henriette (Jetty) Christina of Brantford born in the Netherlands, November 25, 1925. Beloved friend of Gerhard Jungermann of Brantford. Dear mother of Audrey and her husband John Joosse and loved grandmother of Bethany, Rebecca, James and David Joosse all of Woodstock. She is survived by her sister in law, C.J. (Toos) Bakker of Holland. She is also survived by her sister and brother in laws, Elisabeth Karelsen, Bill and Freda Brouwer, Tony and Frances Brouwer, and John and Trudy Brouwer, all of Ontario. She also has many nieces and nephews both in Holland and in Canada. She was predeceased by Philip Brouwer and their infant son, Anthony, her parents Antonius and Algonda Pruijn Bakker and her brother Anthony Bakker of Holland. Henriette emigrated from Holland to Canada in1951. She was very fond of nature and held a special place in her heart for animals. Family and friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 10:00 am for visitation and 11:00 am for the service with Pastor Dirk Miedema officiating.
