DYK, Henderika "Rika"- Surrounded by her loving family at Sakura House, Woodstock on Thursday October 11, 2012. Henderika (nee Slump) Dyk of RR# 8, Woodstock in her 77th year. Beloved wife of "Murray" Menno Dyk for over 56 years. Dear mother of John and his wife Betty of Burford, Alice Veldjesgraaf and her husband Allan of Norwich, Harry and his wife Marion of Brantford, Teresa Dykxhorrn and her husband Harold of Brownsville and Paul and his wife Neva of Wisconsin. Loved grandmother of twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Henderika is survived by her four sisters and three brothers in Holland, by her extended family members of the Dyk family and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Nancy Dyk (1994) and by her granddaughter Stephanie Veldjesgraaf (1982). Both Murray and Henderika owned and operated their dairy farm in Brant County for many years and have been longtime members of Maranatha Christian Reformed Church. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 735 Frontenac Cres., Woodstock on Monday October 15, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service to honour Henderika's life will be held at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, Woodstock on Tuesday at 12:00 pm with Rev. Dirk Miedema officiating. Interment in Hillview Cemetery.
