VANDERKOOI- At Caressant Care Retirement Home Woodstock on Wednesday April 4, 2007. Harmke (Helen) Vanderkooi (nee Westra) formerly of Beale Street Woodstock in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Albert Vanderkooi. Dear mother of Evelyn Hawkins and her husband Bill of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of David Hefford and his wife Christine of Woodstock. Dear sister of Lammert Westra and his wife Alie, Gaele Westra and his wife Tina, Fokje Smid and her late husband Wiebe (1997), Tine Plantinga and her husband Heine all of Holland and Barbara Dykstra and her husband Ted of Beachville. Dear sister-in-law of Jean DeHaan and her husband Arie of Woodstock and cousin to Jean Vonk of Woodstock. Predeceased by her brother Djoerd Westra and sister Gepke Westra. Helen was a longtime member of Covenant Christian Reformed Church. A Funeral Service will be held at Covenant Christian Reformed Church 410 Lansdowne Avenue Woodstock Saturday at 2:00 pm with Pastor Robert Loerts officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions to Woodstock General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated and may be arranged through the R.D.
