Helen Norene (Masters) Shrumm

SHRUMM - Into the arms of God on Monday, November 16, 2009, Helen Norene Shrumm (nee Masters) of Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of Norman Shrumm for over 64 years. Dear mother of David Shrumm (Linda) of London, Bob Shrumm (Nanci) of Mount Vernon, Washington, and Peggie McKinnon (Kevin) of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Courtney, Regan, Lindsay (Brad Law), and Matthew. Dear sister of Harry Masters of Woodstock and Lorne Masters of Prince Edward Island. Predeceased by her brothers Bill and Russell and her sister Mae Cuthbertson. Helen served with the Canadian Women's Army Corps (C.W.A.C.) and was stationed overseas during WWII. Helen was a member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 Woodstock. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004), on Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 7-9 pm and after 12:30 pm on Friday where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1:30 pm with Rev. Victor Krueger-Kischak officiating. Interment in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
