Helen Louise (Gardham) Rockett

With sadness, Helen’s family announces her peaceful passing at Woodingford Lodge on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 just 4 days before her 97th birthday.  Beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Rockett (2006).   Beloved mother of Connie Skillings (Dave) of Ingersoll and Gloria White (Billy) of Woodstock.  Proud Grandma of Ashley Skillings, Jack Skillings, Lisa White (Curtis) and Derek White (Amanda) and Great Grandma of Craig Reynolds and Natasha Reynolds.  Helen was the last surviving member of her family, and is predeceased by her sisters Lila Johnson, Ruth Smith, Elma Laarz and Betty Stewart and her brothers Archie Gardham and Ross Gardham.

Farming was in Helen’s blood, working in tobacco in her youth and on the dairy farm owned by her and Bob.  After retirement, they enjoyed bus trips and the theatre, but her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy.

Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock on Thursday May 23 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.  Funeral Service will take place on Friday morning, May 24th at 11am in the funeral home chapel.  Private interment at Burgessville Baptist Cemetery.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
