Helen Nutt

December 8, 1936 — October 2, 2024

Helen Nutt, a beacon of kindness and selflessness, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on December 8, 1936, Helen's life was a testament to love, service, and community spirit. Her warm presence and generous heart left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.

Helen was the mother of Tersea (Dave) Nutt and Bill Brodie and his wife Kate, and the late Donald Nutt.  Helen's legacy of love continues through her adored grandchildren Alan, Madison, Naomi, Fiona, and Rachel, who will forever treasure their Nana Helen's memory.

Throughout her life, Helen was deeply involved in her community, as a devoted member of the Woodstock Salvation Army, she served with commitment, touching countless lives through her volunteer work. Helen was an active member of the Horticultural Society, and loved her gardens and many bird feeders.

She was a central figure in her circle of friends, known for her ability to bring laughter and joy to any gathering.  To so many, she was affectionately known as Nana Helen, a testament to the vast reach of her maternal grace.

Those who knew Helen would describe her as gentle, kind, and selfless. Her actions spoke volumes of her character, as she consistently put others before herself, offering support and comfort to anyone in need. Helen's impact on her community and the lives she touched will be remembered and celebrated for generations to come.

Visitation will take place on Saturday October 5, 2024 from 9:30-11 am, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 am all held at Woodstock Salvation Army (769 Juliana Dr.) In lieu of flowers, donations to Sakura House or Salvation Army Women’s Ministries would be appreciated.
