HARRIS Helen Frances - It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Helen on Friday, August 3rd, 2018 at the Woodstock Hospital at the age of 89. Adored wife and best friend for 47 years of recently deceased Gord (April 2018). Loving mother of Jim (Donna) Waine of Orilla, Gale (Murray) Baker of Woodstock and Carol (Alex) Rathy of Sherman, TX. Dear step-mother of Cheryl Leatherdale of Windsor, Lynda (Tom ) Maheu of Orillia and Don (Caroline) Harris of Barrie. Cherished and proud Nana of 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Beloved sister of Linda Lee of London. Predeceased by her brothers Pete and Bill Lee and by her sister Rita Roy. Cremation has taken place. A graveside interment service followed by a celebration of Helen's life will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1997 Dundas Street E., London on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 at 12:30 pm. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock (519-539-0004) or Forest Lawn Funeral Home, London, ON. Heartfelt thanks to all staff at Woodstock Hospital (2100 unit) for their excellent and compassionate care of Mom for the past 9 months.
