Helen Christine Fraser

FRASER, (Helen) Christine "Tine", 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Caressant Care Woodstock Nursing Home on Monday, April 16, 2012.She was born at Stratford, Ontario, September 6, 1917, a daughter of Donald and Pearl (Turnbull) Manson. Christine is survived by her three daughters-in-law Sharon Fraser, St. Mary's; Grace Osinski and her husband Janusz, Woodstock and Joan Fraser, Embro. She is the loving grandmother of Debra Brown (Dave) , Sherri Fiorino (Luigi), Lori Williams (Tyler), Melanie Fraser and fiancé Paul Tiberio; Jackie McKenzie (Scott), Sandi Fraser (Jonathan Smith); Brad Fraser (Allison) and Kristy Fraser. She is the cherished great grandmother of nineteen and great-great grandmother of one. She is also survived by her brother Jack (Verna) Manson, Simcoe; and her sisters-in-law Margaret Manson, Tavistock; and Grace Armstrong, Woodstock; and many nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Clifford (1973) whom she married September 9, 1939, sons Jim (1993), Bruce (1984), Alex (1995), and daughter Sharon (2005); her brother Don Manson (2007) and her soul mate Ralph Kent (2002). She was a member of Knox United Church, Embro and actively participated in its UCW for many years, the Brooksdale Women's Institute, and Brooksdale 4-H. Family and friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Knox United Church, 116 Kincardine Street, Embro on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Judy Campbell will officiate. Interment following at North Embro Cemetery.
