At Woodstock Hospital on Sunday, January 15, 2023, in his 82nd year, Harvey Christian Andreasen passed peacefully to his heavenly home. He was surrounded by the love of his younger daughter Elizabeth and her husband Scott.
Harvey was the son of the late Rasmus and Myrtle (nee Ward) Andreasen (1986 and 1993 respectively). Harvey’s siblings, Dorothy, Viola, Howard and Mildred all predeceased him.
Devoted husband to his wife, Marion (nee Walker) Andreasen for over 52 years. Harvey graciously and tirelessly cared for Marion as she declined with advanced dementia until her recent placement in a long term care home.
Cherished father of Dr. Sarah Andreasen (Paul Brooksbank) and Elizabeth (Scott) Buckrell. Loving grandfather of Danica and Rylan Brooksbank; Matthew (Johanna), Adam (Abbey), Jacob (Megan), Noah (Sydney Alexander), and Hannah (Ryan Baer), Buckrell. Affectionate great grandfather of Oliver, Hudson and Everett Buckrell; Nolan and Maddison Buckrell.
Harvey was an active member of The National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors as well as The Historical Lighting Society of Canada. He was always a collector of treasures. From a young age, he would save his nickels so that he could purchase an array of items. He loved to spend time looking for collectables at antique shops and yard sales alike. However, everyone who knew Harvey would say that his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. His family was the one thing on this earth that he truly counted as priceless.
Harvey was an active member of Faithway Baptist Church. He rested in the knowledge that his earthly treasures could never compare to the treasures he stored up in heaven. His Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, was the greatest treasure of all. His humble faith was displayed over and over again to his medical team following his massive heart attack on December 1st, 2022. His testimony rang true in his final days here on earth.
