SMITH - At his residence on Saturday January 12, 2008. Harold Arthur Smith of Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock and formerly of RR# 1, Innerkip in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn "Jean" (nee Yeoman) Smith (1997) for over 59 years. Dear father of Evelyn "Dianne" Darling and her husband Allen of Stouffville, Ralph MacDonald and his wife Karen all of RR# 1, Innerkip, Elinor Louise Oakley and her husband David of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Nancy Davidson (Terry) of Stittsville, David Darling (Catherine) of Stouffville, Stephen Smith (Christine), Kevin Smith (Heather), Gregory Smith (Vicki) all of Woodstock, Dwayne Smith, Andrew Smith both of Innerkip, Jennifer Hainer (Doug) of Barbados, Heather Davis (Joe) of Woodstock, Matthew Smith, Daniel Smith both of Innerkip, Stephanie Dorval (Pierre Louis) of Toronto, Walter Oakley (Aneta) of Waterloo, Doris Signorotti (Kevin) of Toronto, Annie Oakley of Thunder Bay and great grandfather of twenty great grandchildren. Also survived by daughter-in-law Carol Smith of Innerkip and sister-in-law Virginia Smith of Woodstock. Predeceased by his son Robert Smith, sister Dorothy Izzard and brothers Stanley and Frederick Smith. He was the last surviving member of his own family. Harold dairy farmed at RR# 1, Innerkip for over 60 years, was a current member of the Hebron United Church, past superintendent of the Innerkip United Church, Past Master of the Masonic Oak Lodge Br. # 261, Innerkip A.F. & A.M., Past President of the Oxford Holstein Breeders Assoc., and a past board member of the Oxford Fruit Co-op, Woodstock. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday January 14, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 2:30 pm with Rev. Betty Jean Page officiating. Interment later in the Innerkip Cemetery. Contributions to the Hebron United Church or the Innerkip Masonic Lodge would be appreciated.
