Pyne - Peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday December 5, 2004, Harold G. "Jim" Pyne of Woodstock in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Grace (nee Easby). Much loved father of Lynda Barta (Joe) of Woodstock, Georgia Normand (Mike) of Elmira, Christine Gould (Fred) of Sweaburg, and Kathryn Farrell (John) of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Jodi Barta, Jim Barta, Michael Gregg, Dawnalee MacKinnon (Paul), Dayna Normand (Al), Alicia, Hillary, and Erin Gould, and Shana and Steven Farrell. Dear great grandfather of Cayle and Caitlyn Lackten, Todd and Audrey Barta, Lachlan, Shonnah, Logen and Moira MacKinnon, Emily McDonald, and Nikolaus Farrell. Dear brother of Phyllis Lilley of Woodstock and Marie Ede of Midland. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Emily, his son James Alfred, and his sisters Edith Lamb and Ethel Tucker. Jim served overseas during World War II in the Canadian Army Service Corps. He owned and operated his own landscape gardening business in the Woodstock area for 40 years. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Monday from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at Old St. Paul's Anglican Church 723 Dundas St., Woodstock at 1:30 pm with Rev. Bruce Genge officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Old St. Paul's Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
