Hans Gunther Koster

KOSTER, Hans Gunther - Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 20th 2015 at the age of 86. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Waltraud "Trudy" of 59 years. Loving father to Michael (Elaine), Terry (Mary) and the late Susan (1998). Cherished grandfather to Heidi (Mark), Matthew, Sam, and Marc, Step grandfather to Denise (Frazer) and Nick (Stacy). Great grandfather to Tyson, Logan, and Autumn, step great grandfather to Baylee, Quentin, Aiden, and Aryan. Also survived by his aunt Ariel Koster and numerous cousins in Canada and Germany. Born in Germany, Hans immigrated to Canada in 1952, worked as a carpenter for a number of years and was a superintendent for Ellis Don Construction for 27 years. During his free time Hans enjoyed participating in the Old Belmont Hunt Camp. Friends are invited to join the family for a time of visitation on Thursday, October 22nd, from 6-8pm at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas St., Thamesford. A celebration of Hans' life will take place at the funeral home on Friday, October 23rd, at 11:00am with Rev. Susan Cole officiating. Interment in the Zion Cemetery with reception to follow at the Beaty Room. Memorial contributions to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
