Gwenneth (Gwen) Jean Greenaway (Gilbert)

Gwenneth (Gwen) Jean Greenaway (Gilbert) passed away peacefully in her 85th year on Friday December 6, 2024. Gwen was a devoted mother to Janet Neeb (Troy) and Nancy Lenehan (Patrick), and a cherished grandmother of Tyler (Larysa), Derek, Brynden, McKinley and Quinn. She was also a proud great grandmother of Chloe and Callum.

Gwen is now reunited with her beloved husband and best friend Bob (2012). She is survived by her brother Robert (Jean) and sister Sharon and will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Gwen was a lifetime resident of Thamesford where she found joy in gardening, genealogy and crafting. Her passion for these hobbies was evident in the beautiful gardens she tended, the family history she meticulously documented, and the crafts she lovingly created.

Gwen's warmth, kindness and creativity touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of love and dedication to her family and her passions will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. 

Friends may call at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 177 Dundas Street Thamesford on Tuesday December 17th, 2024 from 11 am -12:45 pm followed by a funeral service at 1 pm. Interment at Zion 7th Line Cemetery will follow the service. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be given to the Make a Wish Foundation  or Westminster United Church.
