Grietje (Devries) Slager

SLAGER- The Lord called home on Friday March 7, 2008, Grietje "Grace" (Pool) Slager (nee deVries) in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Peter Slager (1993) and Mindert Pool (1973). Dearly loved mother of Jack (Corrie) Pool, Sally (Bob) Veenstra, Jean (Mike) Veenstra all of Woodstock. Sadly missed by grandchildren Grace, Clarence, Michael, Carolyn, Grace, Gary and Kevin, 16 great grandchildren and four great great grandsons and nieces and nephews. Loved step-mother of Tilly (Case) De kraker of Aylmer, Ivan (Ina) Slager, Al (Grace) Slager, Mike (Carolyn) Slager all of Woodstock, Elsie (Charlie) Triemstra of Woodstock, and Peter (Bonnie) Slager of Sarnia. Also survived by her step-daughter-inlaw Nancy Slager, many step grand, and great grand and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Jochum Pool (1946), step-sons Charlie Slager (1997), John (Penny) Slager, great great granddaughter Cassandra, brothers Jelle deVries, Lammert deVries and sisters Gepke Bylsma and Anna deBoer. The funeral service will be held at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church 577 Norwich Ave. Woodstock Tuesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Dirk Miedema officiating. Interment Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
