Grace Marie Poole

May 23rd, 1935 to April 9th, 2024

Grace Marie Poole passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a brief illness on April 9th, 2024, at the Stratford General Hospital. True love and best friend of 58 years to Donald “Mike” Poole, who predeceased her in 2014. Loving mother of Karen (Scott), Vicki, and Jodi and her dearly loved grandchildren Rachel, Sierra, Amanda, Tori, and Jessica, who all have wonderful memories with and of her.

Grace was an active and committed woman of faith in being an elder, Sunday school teacher, playing the piano for Sunday school, being a cub leader, volunteering with the Presbyterian Cemetery for over 30 years and volunteering for VON Meals on Wheels. She embraced her relationship with God and relied heavily on his love and working in mysterious ways to ensure her family and others were cared for and loved.

The tight knit family enjoyed many camping trips to their trailer at Happy Hills, The Sandhills Park and Bancroft for rock hounding and the annual large family picnics. Grace’s strong foundation of family values set the stage for the life she and Mike created for their three children.

Grace’s physical presence will be missed deeply, however the fond memory of her will be found using Corelle dishes, playing euchre, Apple Days, rock hounding, campfires, and chatting with family and friends.

In keeping with Grace’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Woodstock.

As an expression of your sympathy donations are greatly appreciated to the Presbyterian Cemetery and Knox Presbyterian Church, Woodstock.
