Armour, Grace Elizabeth - passed away peacefully at Woodingford Lodge, Ingersoll, on Sunday October 11, 2020 in her 95th year. Dear sister to Agnes (Armour) Worthy and predeceased by older brothers Archie and Angus Armour. Cherished aunt of Paul (Sue) Armour, Sharon (Dave O'Connor) Armour, Nancy (Don) Moulton, and James (Marnie) Armour. Proud aunt to her many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Grace retired from a career in elementary teaching in the St. Thomas/ Elgin county region. She was a most enthusiastic viewer of almost any sporting event. Partaking herself in a little golf; as well was an enthusiastic curler and skip for many years at the St Thomas curling club. Grace also managed to squeeze in; for good measure; a little gardening and a lot of games of bridge. Grace travelled extensively down many roads, both local and abroad...usually with her partner in crime, her older sister Agnes. Whether it be visiting her many friends and relatives, off to some new musical or theatrical event, cafe or restaurant, or maybe just a new adventure to a new garden centre; the girls were always out and about somewhere in the country. Grace's amicable teaching and storytelling style made it easy for her to make many friends from adults to kids alike. They would listen like children on the floor at a book reading. They were everyday stories that she made come alive with colour and movement. Every day stories that have touched and influenced many over the years...these will be missed.
An expression of heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful caregivers that helped Grace on her journey during her last few years; Goodness Retirement - St Thomas, Oxford Manor and Woodingford Lodge – Ingersoll. Thank you for your concern and attention to Grace's needs.
