GORDON BURTON WILFORD JUNE 7, 1937- MARCH 30, 2018 After a long illness Gord passed away quietly in his 81st year. Cherished husband of Katherine (Katie) Toohey-Wilford (nee Wilson). Survived by brother Donald Wilford and sisters-in-law Jean Wilford-Williams, Barbara McDonald, Loreen Manuel, Winifred Wilson and brothers-in-law Russel McDonald and John McDonald. Predeceased by his parents Burton and Ethel (Harvey) Wilford, his sister Blanche Warboys, brother Frederick Wilford, wife Marilyn McDonald (2007), and her parents William and Jean McDonald, brothers-in-law Robert Warboys, William McDonald, David Wilson, Robert Wilson and sisters-in-law Marie Wilford, Helen Tuckey, Helen McDonald, Jessie Wilson and Mary Maltby. Gordon will be missed by several nieces and nephews and remembered by the extended Wilford, McDonald, Wilson and Toohey families as well as many friends and acquaintances. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, where the memorial service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 3:30pm with the Rev. Mark McLennan officiating. Interment in the Presbyterian Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Gord would like to be remembered as supporting Canadian Wildlife Federation, DASO, Woodstock Hospital, or your own favourite cause.
