THORNTON, Gordon Rae - Left this earth peacefully, while listening to his favourite song, on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Seaforth Manor. Gordon was the beloved partner of Barb Alexander, loving father to Judy (John) Findlay, Jerry (Nancy), Larry, Roger (Elizabeth), Sharon, Cindy, Don (Sharon), Doug (Chris), Carol, Connie (Ron), Mike, and Rob. He will also be missed by 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Gordon was predeceased by 3 children: Gerald, Shirley and Angela. Friends and relatives may join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas St. Thamesford, 519-285-2427, on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 pm. A private interment in the Banner Cemetery with reception to follow at the Beaty Room located in the Thamesford library.
